How we judge this award
How rarely a household loses its internet connection shapes this award, based on a survey of more than 1,000 Australians about their home internet experience. A threshold of at least 50 responses per provider applies, drawn only from customers who had used the service for three months or more so the data reflects settled, real world use. Respondents shared how often their whole household lost internet access and rated their satisfaction with the reliability of their connection on a scale from 1, extremely dissatisfied, to 5, extremely satisfied. Averaging reliability satisfaction scores by provider identified the winner, awarded to whichever provider scored highest overall.
