Ahead of The Bear Season 5's premiere in June, FX and Disney Plus have shadow-dropped a one-off prequel special titled Gary
Revaled by actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach via Instagram, the one-hour follows beloved characters Richie (Moss-Bachrach) and Mikey (Jon Bernthal) on a work trip to Gary, Indiana. The episode explores the complex relationship between the two friends and offers a deeper insight into where both men were, emotionally and mentally, before the start of Season One. Despite being a prequel, Gary ends on a dramatic cliffhanger that fans will want to see before heading into Season Five in June.
In addition to starring, Moss-Bachrach and Bernthal also co-wrote the episode, which was directed by creator-showrunner of The Bear, Christopher Storer.
Gary is available to stream now on Disney Plus.
