Aussie comedians star in new HBO series Make That Movie

HBO has revealed a brand-new exclusive comedy series starring Australian comedians Sam Campbell (Taskmaster) and Aaron Chen (Fisk). Make That Movie is a six-episode original series created by Campbell and directed by Joe Pelling, creator of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.

Sam Campbell plays a director who leads a film crew across the country in search of ordinary people with extraordinary ideas for a feature film. Once an idea is found, the crew has just three days to turn it into a feature film.

Joining Sam Campbell's director are Aaron Chen as an intimacy coordinator, Lara Ricote (Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping) as runner Jess, Helen Bauer (Am I Being Unreasonable?) as a sound engineer and David Hargreaves (This Country) as the crew's cinematographer.

Sam Campbell and Aaron Chen are kind of two sides of the same coin - arguably the two weirdest comedians in Australia - so Make That Movie is bound to be pure chaos.

Make That Movie premieres exclusively on HBO Max in Australia this May.
