Foxtel and ABC iView logos on TV screen

Over the weekend Australia's pay TV giant Foxtel announced that it will finally be bringing the ABC iView app to its set-top boxes. The app will be supported by iQ3 and iQ4 boxes from this November.

This is the second big announcement from Foxtel regarding streaming apps on its service. In July, Foxtel began rolling out iQ3 and iQ4 support for Netflix and SBS on Demand, with iQ4 boxes the first in line for the update.

The changes are part of what Foxtel has dubbed "The New Foxtel Experience". At this stage, it's unclear whether or not there are more announcements to come.

The ABC iView app on iQ set-top boxes will offer catch-up TV along with live streams of the various ABC TV channels.
