We're expecting Google to unveil its second-generation Pixel smartphones within in a month or two, meaning now's a great time to get a bangin' deal on last year's models. JB Hi-Fi has slashed almost $300 off the 5-inch Pixel, dropping the price from $1,079 to $799.

You're able to get the discounted Pixel in a choice of "Quite Black" or "Very Silver", but there is a slight catch. Only the 32GB Pixel is discounted; you'll still pay the $1,229 for the 128GB model. The Pixel doesn't have expandable storage, but Google gives you unlimited photo and video storage through Google Photos. If you're okay with living life in the cloud or aren't planning on packing your phone full of media, 32GB is still quite reasonable.

Key specifications for the Pixel include a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 2,770mah battery, a 12.3MP rear-facing camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera
