Fetch TV has increased the price of its channel packs from $6 per month, to $7.99 per month in its first price hike since 2017. The Vibe Pack, Knowledge Pack, Variety Pack, and Kids Pack have all been impacted by the increase, with the complete Ultimate Pack also going up from $20 per month to $24.99 per month.
Since Fetch Channel Packs, like streaming services, are contract free and month-to-month agreements, current customers will be impacted from their next payment date.
Digital television price increases usually come with a small grace period for existing subscribers. Disney Plus has the habit of letting users know a few weeks in advance, and Foxtel's recent increases came with some lead time to give users the opportunity to lock in the lower price point through an annual subscription. Although this is probably less altruistic, and more so a way to secure a batch of subscribers for another year, it still benefits users. We reached out to Fetch to get more information about how this would impact existing subscribers, but it did not respond.
These increases come just days after Fetch upped the price of its Fetch Mighty Gen4 set-top box. Citing component costs, the hardware has increased from $499, to $599 from most retailers.
Although Fetch has not commented on the reasoning behind the channel pack price increase, the hike comes after its content deal renewal with ESPN.
