Foxtel Play lands on PlayStation in time for Game of Thrones

Sony and Foxtel joined forces this week to launch Foxtel Play content streaming on PlayStation 3, with both companies hoping to capitalise on synergies in the interests of PlayStation owners and the upcoming fourth season of Game of Thrones.

The service is a free download available now on PlayStation 3 and coming soon to PlayStation 4, but users will need a subscription to use Play over the long-term.

The minimum monthly spend for a Foxtel Play customer is $25 and gives them one of four basic channel packs. Choosing all four will cost $50 per month.

Customers hoping to watch Game of Thrones would ordinarily pay an additional $25 per month on top of the basic service for the “Premium Movies and Drama” package, but Foxtel is currently offering it for $10 per month for the first three-months of a subscription — which would be just enough time to watch Game of Thrones if you sign up this week.

The Premium Movies and Drama package also includes all of the Foxtel movie channels, including Thriller, Action, Comedy, Family and Premiere Movies.
