What is Wicked: For Good about?
Wicked: For Good is act two of Wicked, the musical-turned-movie.
Wicked is the origin story of the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba, (Cynthia Erivo) and how she came to be. It also explores her close friendship with her roommate, Galinda/Glinda (Ariana Grande), who eventually becomes her rival, the Good Witch of the North.
Wicked: For Good follows on from this and gives audiences an insight into how Elphaba and Glinda's friendship became so opposing and how Elphaba was cast out of society in Oz by challenging the corrupt Wizard of Oz himself.
Part one, Wicked, premiered in 2024 and won two Oscars while part two was released in cinemas in November 2025 and was nominated for two BAFTAs. Since then it has slowly made its way to a number of streaming services.
