The Legally Blonde films were pivotal in teaching my generation that no matter your hair colour, social status, appearance or education, you can put your mind to anything you hope to achieve, especially if others say it's out of your reach.
Elle Woods became an icon for encouraging self-worth, confidence and the importance of standing by your morals. And her story continues. Well, actually begins, when Elle premieres this June.
Keep reading to learn when and where you can stream it, what it’s all about, and where to catch up on the original films that inspired this series. How to watch the Legally Blonde films in Australia
Stan is home to both the first and second Legally Blonde films and is one of the more affordable streaming services on the market. It also has no ads, plenty of original and exclusive content and is highly compatible with various TVs, devices and consoles.
Unfortunately, no, Stan does not offer a free trial.
Subscribers to MGM+ via Prime Video channels can also catch both films there, or get a seven-day free trial, which is plenty of time to watch both films. Incidentally, Prime Video is also where you'll find Elle when it premieres in July.
What is Elle about?
Elle takes us all the way back to 1995 when Elle Woods is hit with a bombshell — her family is moving away from vibrant Bel-Air to the rainy, drab city of Seattle.
In a bizarre twist, Reece Witherspoon's daughter, Ava Phillippe, despite looking like her mother's spitting image, was not cast in the leading role, nor has Reece been cast as Elle's mum, Eva.
However, not all hope is lost, as Reece is an Executive Producer on the show — a role familiar to her as she also produced The Last Thing He Told Me, Where the Crawdads Sing, Little Fires Everywhere, Big Little Lies, Gone Girl and Legally Blonde 2.
Creators: Laura Kittrell | Cast: Lexi Minetree, Jessica Belkin, Danielle Chand, Sophie Thom, Anna Katharina, Brad Harder, June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott
Language: English | Rating: Not Rated
Genre: Drama, comedy
Available on: Prime Video
Elle is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 1, 2026.
