What is The Boys about?

Imagine a world where superheroes live among us. Now imagine they suck. That's basically what The Boys is about.

The series centres on a ragtag group of everyday people-turned-vigilantes (aka The Boys) who have been jilted or slighted in one way or another by The Seven, a group of power-hungry, corrupt superheroes with way too much power and influence behind their digital devices, worldwide television and even politics.

Over the seasons, The Boys have come to realise their biggest threat is the leader of The Seven, Homelander, a genetically engineered superhero by super-company Vought International with unparalleled powers including near-invulnerability, flight, superhuman strength, and heat vision abilities. He's basically Superman if Kal-El were raised in the confines of a lab instead of by the loving Kent family on a farm in Smallville.

Season 5 is set to bring back fan favourite Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy and will reunite Ackles with his old Supernatural pals, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins.
