Nicolas Cage in Spider-Noir

When Nicolas Cage first voiced Spider-Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, I don't think anyone expected we'd eventually see that same character in an MA15+ live-action television show. But here we are. This month, Nicolas Cage plays aging private eye Ben Reilly who must once again suit up as The Spider when an intriguing case comes across his desk.

In a fun little twist, Spider-Noir will be available to stream in two formats: Authentic Black and White or True Hue Full Colour.

Where to watch Spider-Noir in Australia

Here in Australia, Spider-Noir is exclusive to Amazon Prime Video. Amazon Prime Video is unlike most streaming services in that it is included with a standard Amazon Prime subscription (which gets you exclusive discounts, express shipping and more).

Amazon Prime starts at $9.99 per month, but that includes ad breaks. If you want to go ad-free, you will need to pay an extra $2.99 per month, making it $12.99 per month. Other than ad breaks, the plans are the same, offering 4K streaming on three devices at once. It also comes with a one-month free trial so you can try before you buy.

If you want to save a little more money on Amazon Prime, there are a few ways of cutting down the monthly cost, like signing up to a year upfront for $79 (saving you $40.88 per year).

You may have read that Spider-Noir dropped two days early on MGM+, but that's only available to US subscribers. We signed up to MGM+ in Australia via Amazon Prime Video Channels to verify this and can confirm that Spider-Noir is not available to stream from Australia on MGM+.

When will Spider-Noir Season 1 be released in Australia?

While you could technically use a VPN to access MGM+ and watch Spider-Noir right now, it's a lot of work for a short wait. All eight episodes of Spider-Noir will be released at the same time on Wednesday, May 27. Since Spider-Noir lands on Amazon Prime Video at the same time globally, that should mean it will be available to stream from about 2:00pm AEST (which is 12:00am Eastern Daylight Time in the US).

With the help of his friends, journalist Robbie Robertson (Lamorne Morris) and Janet (Karen Rodrigues), Reilly finds himself up against Irish mobster Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson) and his lackeys Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone (Abraham Popoola) and Flint Marko/Sandman (Jack Huston).
