After the Toronto Blue Jays claimed victory over the Seattle Mariners (4-3) in the American League Championship Series, they secured their place opposite the LA Dodgers in the 2025 World Series.

Prior to the World Series, the Dodgers defended their National League Champion status against the Milwaukee Brewers (5-1) in a landmark game that saw three-time MLB MVP Shohei Ohtani strike out 10 Brewers batters and hit three home runs, punctuating the Dodgers’ five-game winning streak.

All roads lead to what is sure to be one of the most electrifying MLB World Series matchups in history, as the Dodgers have the opportunity to become the first back-to-back world champions since the New York Yankees’ 1999 and 2000 victories.

With four games down, the Toronto Blue Jays and the LA Dodgers are moving into an exciting game five tie-breaker. If another tie is on the cards for game six, we'll see one of the most exciting World Series finales in history come November 2.

Here’s how to live stream all the action from the 2025 World Series in Australia.

Try Kayo Sports for $1

The Kayo $1 for 1 month deal is back right in time for the MLB World Series. For a limited time, new customers can score their first month of Kayo Sports Premium 4K for $1 (usually $40). After the first month, you will automatically be charged $40 per month from your second month forward.

How to watch the MLB World Series in Australia

Outside of Canada and the United States, livestreaming the MLB is mercifully straightforward. There are no post-season blackouts for MLB coverage, meaning every regular season and post-season game, including the playoffs and World Series, can be streamed in the same place.

Here in Australia you’ve got two primary options: MLB.tv and ESPN, though the latter is available through a number of streaming services and providers.

MLB.tv

MLB.tv is the official league-sanctioned streaming service. It offers every postseason game live and around a few 2026 Spring training games. It is, however, an expensive standalone ticket to the World Series. At US$29.99, you’re looking at roughly $46.15 at the current AUD exchange rate.

ESPN: Kayo, Disney Plus and Foxtel

The better option for Australians would be via ESPN, which is available through Kayo, Foxtel and Disney Plus.

The cheapest option would be Disney Plus Standard, which costs $15.99 per month (or $159.99 per year) and gets you HD streaming on two devices at once.

Next would be Kayo Sports Standard Plan, which costs $30 per month for HD streaming on one device.

Lastly, Foxtel is the most expensive option by far. Streaming the MLB World Series would cost you, at minimum, $84 via Foxtel Now’s Sports and Movies Bundle and as much as $108 per month via the traditional Foxtel Sports package.

Which is the best option for live-streaming the MLB World Series?

Disney Plus and Kayo are your two best options and both come with their own perks and benefits. Disney Plus is cheaper and offers TV shows and movies in addition to ESPN. But it doesn’t have a free trial and doesn’t offer any more sports outside of ESPN. Kayo is a little more expensive but comes with a 7-day free trial and offers over 50 live sports, including the upcoming cricket season.

If you're just in it for the World Series, Disney Plus is the cheaper option. If you're looking for a free trial and possibly something to sustain your sports coverage cravings then Kayo will be the way to go.
