Are you ready to go back to Downton Abbey? The Crawley family captured all of our hearts way back in 2010 when the show first hit small screens. Now that they've wrapped up their cinema screen trilogy, it seems like the perfect opportunity to go back to where it all began.
The good news is all six seasons of the original TV show are currently available to stream on Binge. Here's how you can stream them.
How to watch the Downton Abbey movies
If you're itching to see the Crawley's big screen moments on your small screen, then you're in luck. All three Downton Abbey films are available to stream on Binge, and through Foxtel, Foxtel Now and Foxtel Go.
You can also watch the last two movies for $3.99 and $5.99 respectively through the Google Play Store or for $4.99 and $5.99 respectively on Prime Video.
Binge Australia
There are three ways to watch Downton Abbey in Australia. First, there's Binge and Foxtel. Both services offer all six seasons, but there's a clear winner when it comes to value for money.
Binge subscriptions start at $10 per month for ad-supported HD streaming on one device. If you want to go ad-free or get 4K streaming you're looking at paying either $19 per month or $22 per month.
- Watch in 4K on two devices
- Valued at $19 per month + 7-day free trial
- Watch sports and premium TV and movies on-demand and ad-free
Yes, new customers are entitled to a seven-day free trial of Binge. After that, the price reverts to the usual monthly price of between $10 and $22 per month.
If you're after a lasting deal, however, there are plenty of ways to save money on Binge, such as signing up for an annual plan.
Foxtel
While Foxtel Now's traditional Pay TV service starts at $84 per month, you can get a starter pack of Foxtel Now for a fraction of the price at $35.99 per month.
Although Foxtel has all the Downton Abbey seasons and films, it's difficult to justify the $25.99 per month price difference between Foxtel Now and Binge, even with a ten-day free trial.
- Watch AFL, NRL and F1 live in 4K Ultra HD
- Usually $108/mth (save $53/mth)
- Includes Foxtel Plus and HBO Max (usually $11.99/mth)
*$55 per month on a 12-mth plan. Min. cost $660. New customers only. Offer ends 30 June 2026.
BritBox
BritBox is the go-to app for all things British. Whether you're into crime, drama, comedy or mysteries, BritBox will have you covered. All six seasons of Downton Abbey are available to stream on BritBox and also as an add-on channel via Prime Video.
BritBox plans start at $13.99 per month, so a little pricier than Binge but still cheaper than Foxtel Now, and offer a seven-day free just like Binge.
- Watch in full HD video quality
- Valued at $13.99 per month
- Watch ad-free British content on four devices
How does Binge compare?
Binge is a streaming service with a heavy focus on TV shows and movies. Its content library covers prestige drama, sitcoms, reality, crime, documentaries, animation and, more recently, sports.
Binge pricing starts at $10 per month for the entry-level plan with ads in High Definition (HD) and one simultaneous stream. If you upgrade to its Standard subscription for $19 per month, you will get ad-free 4K streaming on two devices. Binge's top subscription tier, Premium, costs $22 per month and gets you the same streaming quality as Standard but with four simultaneous streams.
To stream shows and movies through Binge, you'll need an internet connection and a compatible device. The good news is Binge works with plenty of devices. These include iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets. In terms of internet browsers, Binge works with Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari. For gaming consoles, Binge is compatible with PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox One, Series S, and Series X.
Binge also supports fourth-generation and beyond Apple TVs, Fire TV, Google Chromecast, and Android smart TVs. Here's a full list of Binge-compatible devices:
