A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season One has officially wrapped up. Fear not, there are still plenty of George R.R. Martin adaptations to look forward to, including a greenlit second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. In the meantime, why not revisit the HBO phenomenon that set the world on fire.
The latest adaptation from George R.R. Martin's world of Westeros is upon us. Significantly more upbeat than the two adaptations before it, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk for short) and his relentlessly optimistic squire, Egg.
The first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms takes a "less-is-more approach to Westeros" in both tone and overall investment, with only six episodes at roughly 30 minutes a piece. Those six episodes will be released weekly exclusively on HBO Max, beginning Monday, January 19.

What is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms about?
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is adapted from George R.R. Martin's Dunk & Egg novella series. It follows Ser Duncan the Tall (or Dunk), a hedge knight who previously squired to another legendary hedge knight, who knighted Dunk before his untimely death with no witnesses. When Dunk makes a mysterious little lad named Egg his squire, the two partner up to have Dunk's knighthood recognised by the lords of Westeros.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is set 100 years before Game of Thrones and 100 years after House of the Dragon but it is notably lighter in tone than those two adaptations, and is more of an upbeat underdog tale.
