Start your engines, it's that time of year — the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 is revving to go! And we've got the latest on where you can stream the race live and for free, when it starts and the all best internet plans in our database to ensure you have a truly uninterrupted experience.
Where can I stream the 2026 Bathurst 1000?
One way to stream the 2026 Bathurst 1000 race is live on Kayo Sports. Unfortunately, Kayo Sports no longer offers a seven-day free trial, which means its $29.99 per month plan is the most affordable way to watch the race on Kayo Sports. Just note, that this will only allow you to watch on one device at a time in Full HD.
Another way to view the 2026 Bathurst 1000, the other alternatives are Foxtel and free-to-air Channel Seven, 7Mate and 7Plus. To get Foxtel Now's sports pack, you'll actually need to sign up for its All Packs tier, but this is priced at an eye-watering $59 per month. There is a free 10-day trial, however, which you could make the most of for the weekend.
If you do decide to keep your subscription, you'll get access to over 76 live channels, including movies, drama extra, kids, docos and its essential channels but it comes at the cost of locking yourself in for 12 months (post-trial period, of course). It's important to note that the minimum Foxtel Now Essentials pack of $25 per month doesn't include its sports package.
Channel Seven is a good free option but if you're late to watching the race you won't be able to pause and rewind like you can on Kayo Sports.

What is 2026 Bathurst 1000 about?
The 2026 Bathurst 1000 marks the 20 year anniversary since legendary 'King of the Mountain' Peter Brock died. He will be honoured for his legacy as a driver and his record nine Bathurst 1000 wins. It will also be Repco's sixth year as the naming rights partner.
The main race consists of 161 laps of a 6.213 km length circuit with 28 cars in total. In 1973, the race officially became a 1000-kilometre event, hence the name.
In previous years, there has been more drama than just the occasional pile-up or mechanical failure. Who could forget the infamous 2007 race where a kangaroo hopped its way onto the track to join in the action? You just never know what will happen on Mount Panorama.
How long does the 2026 Bathurst 1000 go for?
The races takes a total of four days, spanning Thursday, October 8 to Sunday, October 11, but that's if you're counting all the practice events and such.
But the main Race 30 itself takes place on the Sunday and last anywhere up to seven hours due to stoppages from accidents, debris on the track, weather issues and other unforeseen obstacles (remember our old pal Skippy that we mentioned earlier?).
What is Kayo Sports?
Kayo Sports is Foxtel's way of having its own sports-only streaming service. It has a huge collection of sports-themed content, even aside from the usual AFL, NRL, Rugby Union, Cricket and Soccer matches. It has bowling, competitive pool, lacrosse, eSports and even lawn mower racing! If there's a sport you're into, chances are Kayo is streaming it.
How does Kayo Sport compare?
Compared to other pay TV services, Kayo Sports isn't the most affordable one on the market. But what you're paying for is a huge selection of sporting content, some often with exclusive streaming rights.
It also boasts a bunch of clever features that only enhance the overall viewing experience. This includes an intuitive 'No Spoilers' function, which censors match scores and key moments upon sign-in and browsing throughout the app. Or if you think you're too late to the party and can't be bothered watching the whole thing (161 laps is a long race!), simply skip the game, match or race altogether and easily catch up on the 'Key Moments'.
Its 'SplitView' function means you can watch multiple games simultaneously on one screen plus enjoy no ad breaks during play.

Editor's Pick: Great NBN 100 plans for streaming
In addition to signing up for a subscription to Kayo Sports, you'll also need a reliable NBN plan. If you already have one that covers all your needs like online gaming, scrolling socials and downloading movies and TV shows, you shouldn't have any issues watching every millisecond of the big race.
But if you think you'll need something a little speedier, you may want to upgrade to a high-speed NBN plan. Check out our top NBN 100 plans, which cater to Kayo Sports' streaming requirements:
