What is Shudder Australia?
Shudder is a streaming service owned and operated by AMC Networks - responsible for shows like Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead - that focuses on horror, sci-fi, and thrillers. A litany of titles ranging from classics to complete schlock is backed up a host of original content you'll only find on Shudder.
How much does Shudder Australia cost?
Given Shudder's niche focus, it's a bit more affordable than most streaming services. You can either pay $6.99 per month, or $69.99 per year for annual subscription. An annual subscription works out to be the equivalent of $5.83 per month, or getting two months free.
What can I watch on Shudder Australia?
Shudder's content is all rooted in horror. There's a sizeable selection of horror movies, including originals like Host, modern classics like It Follows, classics like Halloween 4, comedies like Wolf Cop, and cult favourites like Maniac Cop.
You'll also find a small number of Shudder exclusive series, including Cursed Films, a documentary investigating instances of curses surrounding movies; Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories, an anthology based on writings by the American Gods author; and Blood Machines, which just sounds metal af.

How do I watch Shudder Australia?
To stream shows and movies through Shudder, you'll need an internet connection and a compatible device.
The good news is, Shudder works with plenty of devices. These include iPhone, iPad, and Android smartphones and tablets, and most web browsers.
Shudder also supports Apple TVs, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, and Xbox One.

You'll first need to create a free account by providing your email address and setting a password. You'll then need to decide whether you want a monthly subscription or annual subscription, and provide billing details. Shudder accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
How much data does Shudder Australia use?
Shudder doesn't provide official data usage figures, but its movies and shows are available at a maximum resolution of 720p. Most other streaming services offer at least 1080p, which means Shudder will use less data than Netflix, for example. Based on our testing, this is what you can expect from data usage:

How do I update my Shudder payment details?
Visit www.shudder.com in your web browser of choice and sign in. Once you're signed in, click My Account in the top right of your screen. On this page click Update Payment.
How can I cancel my Shudder subscription?
Visit www.shudder.com in your web browser of choice and sign in. Once you're signed in, click My Account in the top right of your screen. Click Cancel Membership, and then click I want to cancel, provide a reason, and then click Cancel My Membership. Your account will stay active until your next billing date.
How do I reset my Shudder password?
You can reset your password by visiting www.shudder.com/forgot-password in your web browser of choice. Enter your email linked with your Shudder account, and then check your email for a link to reset your password. This link will only work for one hour.
Can I download Shudder shows for offline viewing?
At present, Shudder does not support offline viewing.
Does Shudder have subtitles?
Shudder has subtitles, but not for every show and movie. This is because some content has never aired on television, and as such, the Shudder team is creating subtitles themselves.
Can I watch Shudder on more than one device at once?
Up to three different devices can be used to watch Shudder simultaneously, using the same account.
