Fans of fear, rejoice because a new streaming service dedicated to horror has entered the market. Shudder, the aptly named platform launched today and is bringing horror classics alongside original series, films and podcasts.
While there isn’t a plethora of information in regards to how much content is actually available, the service claims to have "more horror and thrillers than anyone". Classic titles such as Wyrmwood and Halloween are ready on demand alongside bespoke Shudder originals.
Notably, a subscription will give you access to the whole library as well as Shudder TV. Shudder TV is a 24/7 constant stream, television channel cycling through the top picks for subscribers each week. It’s a welcome notion for horror buffs looking for someone else to pick their poison for them.
With a weekend of rain obliterating the east coast, this is the perfect time to hide under a blanket while indulging in some fictional fear (as opposed to the real nightmare we’re living in).
Subscriptions cost $6.99 per month, or if you commit to the whole year upfront you’ll pay $69.99 for 12 months, which works out to be the equivalent of $5.84 per month. You won’t need to walk directly into the darkness though with a seven-day free trial available on all new accounts.

Subscribers can watch on Apple TV, iPhone, Android, Fire TV, Xbox One, Chromecast, and in a web browser, although at the time of writing neither the Apple or Android apps were available to download on mobile devices.
