As of May 25, Australian streaming service Binge is officially five years old. It feels like yesterday that Foxtel announced a standalone drama streaming service spearheaded by the team behind Kayo Sport.
After years of battling buffering Game of Thrones episodes with Foxtel Now, Binge was a welcome and well-overdue addition to the Australian streaming landscape. To celebrate the anniversary, Binge is offering 50% off every plan for five months.
Until July 15, you can get Binge Basic for $5 per month, Binge Standard for $9.50 per month and Premium for $11 per month. The discount will remain in effect for five months before reverting to standard pricing. It’s also only available to new and returning customers.
Here's how those savings stack up:
| Plan | Discounted price | Regular price | Saving | More |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binge Basic with ads | $5/mth | $10/mth | $25 | View Plan |
| Binge Standard | $9.50/mth | $19/mth | $47.50 | View Plan |
| Binge Premium | $11/mth | $22/mth | $55 | View Plan |
Each discounted plan still comes with a 7-day free trial so you can try before you commit.
Binge Basic with Ads gets you High-Definition 1080p streaming on a single device but you will have to put up with some ad breaks. Binge Standard is ad-free and offers two 4K streams, while Premium offers four ad-free 4K streams.
This is the second big discount from Binge this year, following Max’s launch in Australia. When Warner Bros. Media launched Max locally back in March, it took its premium HBO content back from Binge and Foxtel in the process. Foxtel customers were offered free Max Basic for 12 months to make up for it. Unfortunately, that offer didn’t extend to Binge subscribers.
