Every Netflix plan just got more expensive in Australia

Netflix has jacked up Australian prices, upping monthly fees for every plan tier.

Standard with Ads is now $1 per month more expensive at $7.99 per month, and Standard has risen from $16.99 per month to $18.99 per month. Customers subscribing to the Premium tier have been hit with the biggest price increase, and will pay an extra $3 per month, bringing their total bill to $25.99.

Here's how pricing across Netflix tiers compares:

Netflix prices in Australia

	Standard with Ads	Standard	Premium
Price per month	$7.99	$18.99	$25.99
Resolution	1080p	1080p	Up to 4K + HDR
Simultaneous streams	2	2	4
Offline download devices	0	2	6
Extra members*	0	1	2
Ads	Yes	No	No

Extra member pricing has remained the same, however, at $7.99 per month for each user on the same account who doesn't live at the same address.

Netflix's price changes are already in effect for new subscribers. Existing Netflix customers will see the new pricing on their next bill.

While we've seen rival services like Disney Plus, Binge, and Apple TV Plus up prices in the past year, Netflix's new increase solidifies it as one of the most expensive options for streaming. Netflix's premium tier is $4 per month more expensive than Binge's premium tier for example, and $8 per month more expensive than Disney Plus'.
