Foxtel is hoping to make self-isolation and social distancing a little easier for its customers by unlocking additional channel packs for all subscribers at no extra cost.
As of today, all Foxtel and Foxtel Now subscribers will have access to the TV channels, and on demand libraries across the pay TV giant's Drama, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Documentary, Reality, and Kids categories.
This means that Foxtel Plus customers get access to the Kids and Favourites channel packs, Foxtel Essentials customers get access to the BoxSets pack, and Foxtel Entertainment customers get access to the Drama, Kids, Docos, and Entertainment Plus packs. Lastly, Foxtel Now customers will have Drama Extra, Docos, Pop, Lifestyle and Kids added to their Essentials, Pop or Lifestyle packs.
This extra content will be unlocked from today.
In additional, traditional Foxtel customers have free access to multiscreen, which will let them watch on up to two additional devices at the same time. This includes casting the Foxtel Go app to a TV via a Chromecast or Apple TV.
These measures apply to all Foxtel customers, including those who have subscribed to Foxtel through Telstra or Optus. They will all stay in effect until May 31.
Lastly, all Foxtel broadband and NBN customers with a metered broadband allowance will get bumped up to an unlimited plan until May 31.
