Christmas coming early to Foxtel Lifestyle Food

Christmas is a time for full stomachs and food-induced napping, but before we get there, someone needs to put the food on the table.

Foxtel has announced a banquet’s worth of Christmas-themed cooking shows on Lifestyle Food to add to your IQ recorder, kicking off at the beginning of December so you’ll have enough to learn the techniques, get shopping and throw it all together for your family.

Gordon Ramsay is one of the star attractions with Gordon’s Festive Home Cooking premiering on Wednesday December 10 at 8:30pm. As contrarian as ever, Ramsay will ditch the classic roast meats for a smokey pulled pork dish. Foxtel is promising to show the “softer side” of Ramsay in his own home, which actually sounds pretty unappealing, but i’ll be tuning in to learn how he makes his “perfect eggs benedict” all the same.

Desserts and sweets will be covered off several times over during the month, with the judges from the Great British Bake-Off offering a Christmas pudding masterclass on Wednesday December 3 at 8:30pm, and the gang from Choccywoccydoodah doing what they do best on Friday December 12 at 8:30pm.
