Streaming service Binge has revealed that 4K streaming will finally arrive for both Binge Standard and Binge Premium subscribers in October, but the Ultra High Definition option won't come for free. From October 24, Binge Standard and Binge Premium customers will automatically get access to 4K streaming but the same customers will pay a good chunk more for the privilege.

On October 24, when 4K streaming becomes available, subscription prices for Binge Standard and Binge Premium plans will go up. Binge Standard will go from $16 per month to $18 per month, while Binge Premium will go from $18 to $22 per month. That's not nothing. In fact, you'll be paying over 22% more per month for Binge's top-tier, going from $216 per year to $264 per year.

Binge will also be axing its 10-day free trial offer as of October 2. So it's a bit of a one-two punch.

This news comes hot on the heels of Foxtel's sport streaming service Kayo removing its free trial and Paramount Plus pumping its prices in Australia.
