The streaming platform is the exclusive home in Australia for many of these franchises. For example, you won't find the hit film Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 (available now) anywhere else. What is Ahsoka about?

Ahsoka follows Ahsoka Tano the former Jedi padawan apprenticed to Anakin Skywalker. The once impulsive Shilli alien first appeared in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated film and the follow-up TV series which ran between 2008-2014, and 2020. Ahsoka takes place much later in the Star Wars timeline after the film Return of the Jedi and the TV series Star Wars Rebels.

The official synopsis from Disney is as follows:

"Ahsoka Tano investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy following the fall of the Empire".

Vague and ominous - the perfect premise to set up what is sure to be another fun romp through a Galaxy far, far away.

A slew of Star Wars Rebels characters are set to make their live-action debut including Sabine Wren (played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Hera Syndulla (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Ezra Bridger (played by Eman Esfandi). Lars Mikkelsen reprises the role of Grand Admiral Thawn which he voiced in the series. It's a Star Wars show, so expect plenty more cameos and reprisals.

How many episodes are there in Ahsoka?

Ahsoka is a limited TV series consisting of eight episodes written by Dave Filoni. Filoni has worked as a writer range of Star Wars projects in the past including The Mandalorian and the Book of Boba Fett.

Here's the Ahsoka episode release schedule:

Episode 3: airing August 30, 2023
Episode 4: airing September 6, 2023
Episode 5: airing September 13, 2023
Episode 6: airing September 20, 2023
