It's no secret that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been struggling to find its footing ever since the halcyon days of the Infinity War saga. Most recently, the MCU's output has mostly ranged from completely forgettable (Captain America: Brave New World) to just okay (Thunderbolts, The Fantastic Four: First Steps).
Things have been a little more positive on the small screen, however. Agatha All Along, Daredevil: Born Again and Marvel Zombies are easily some of the most interesting additions to the MCU over the last few years. Thankfully, early impressions of this month's Wonder Man suggest the upcoming miniseries will continue the trend of compelling TV series in the MCU.
Here's everything you need to know about streaming Wonder Man in Australia.
How to watch Wonder Man in Australia
Wonder Man is an original miniseries available exclusively on Disney Plus. Unlike other streaming services, Disney doesn't release its original TV shows on digital stores like Amazon and Apple TV, so you will need a Disney Plus subscription to watch them.
Disney Plus plans start at $16.99 per month for high definition streaming on two devices. If you want to watch Wonder Man in 4K ultra-high definition, you will need to pay $20.99 per month for Premium.
Disney Plus doesn't offer a free trial but there are a few ways to save on your monthly bill. For example, paying for a year of Disney Plus upfront on either plan will save you about 16% over the course of the year.
As far as we know, Wonder Man is a once-and-done miniseries from Disney Plus. All eight episodes were released at once on January 28 at 1:00pm AEST. If the show ends up being a raging success, there could always be the opportunity for a second season but as it stands, Wonder Man is destined to be a one-season wonder.

What is Wonder Man about?
Wonder Man is both a TV show about a Marvel superhero and a self-aware buddy comedy about developing a TV show about a Marvel superhero. There are layers. The series is led by the incredibly charming Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen), who is playing a struggling Hollywood actor, Simon Williams.
When Williams auditions for the lead role in a remake of an in-universe superhero movie, Wonder Man, he must hide his actual ionic energy superpowers in order to land the role. This is thanks to the fact that a new legislative policy called the 'Doorman Clause' restricts superheroes from working in Hollywood to minimise damage to sets and soaring insurance premiums. Thankfully, this thespian isn't alone on his quest for stardom.
Joining Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Ben Kingsley, reprising his role of disgraced actor Trevor Slattery, who previously served time for a touch of domestic terrorism before redeeming himself in 2021's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Creators: Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest | Cast: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ben Kingsley, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Arian Moayed
Language: English | Rating: M
Genre: Superhero buddy comedy
Available on: Disney Plus
