With the Australian Open out of the way, tennis fans look towards Paris for the next big Grand Slam event: the French Open (Roland-Garros). Now that the qualifying rounds are officially wrapping up, the main draw will officially begin with its first round this Sunday.
Thankfully, streaming the French Open is as straightforward as a baguette.
How can I live-stream the French Open in Australia?
There are essentially two options for streaming the French Open: the free option or the paid option.
Channel 9 will deliver free-to-air coverage on 9Gem, starting at roughly 6:30 to 7:00pm (AEST) every day. That same coverage can be accessed online via Channel 9's free, ad-supported catch-up service 9Now. Free-to-air coverage is typically curated to focus on the big, marquee matches, especially if there's an Aussie on the court.
Your other option is Stan Sport. Stan Sport's coverage is for the true die-hards who want the option to stream every single match, from every court, live and on-demand. It will also stream matches played on the Centre Court (Philippe-Chatrier) in 4K. Stan Sport will also offer Grand Slam Daily, a daily at 11:00am AEST. Grand Slam Daily will be hosted by Chris Stubbs, who will be on th eground at Roland-Garros, running through the highlights and biggest talking points from the day prior.
Stan Sport is a $20 per month add-on to a regular Stan Basic, Standard or Premium 4K subscription, which cost $12, $17 and $22 per month, respectively. With the $20 Stan Sport add-on, you’re looking at paying $32 for Stan Sport + Basic, $37 for Stan Sport + Standard and $42 for Stan Sport + Premium.

What you need to know about this year's French Open
There are plenty of reasons to get excited about this year's French Open. The biggest curveball this year is the untimely withdrawal of defending Men's Singles Champion, Carlos Alcaraz, who sustained a wrist injury last month at the Barcelona Open. While we wish Alcaraz a speedy recovery, this makes Italy's Jannik Sinner the man to beat on the clay this year.
The most exciting draw, however, is Aussie teenage prodigy Emerson Jones, who will make a powerful Roland-Garros main-draw debut when she takes on four-time Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek from Poland.
On the Men's side, Alex de Minaur is looking like the Aussie to watch. He'll have a much smoother on-ramp than Jones, facing a qualifier in the opening round and completely avoiding Jannik Sinner until the final.
