The 2025-2026 NFL season has officially started, kicking off the first week with a new chapter in the storied Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles rivalry (which saw the Eagles continue their streak against the Cowboys). One week down, seventeen to go.
Unlike service-exclusive sports like the EPL, NFL fans in Australia are actually spoilt for choice when it comes to streaming options, with both free and paid options available. Where it gets confusing is trying to decipher which services get which games.
For example, replays and live streams of Thursday Night Football are available to watch for free on 7Plus, as is the Super Bowl. But ESPN, Kayo, and Disney Plus livestream a few extra games every week, and the NFL Game Pass (via DAZN) gets absolutely everything but costs an arm and a leg.
Here’s a broad breakdown of how and when you can catch 2025-2026 NFL games in Australia, broken down by service.
| NFL games | DAZN NFL Game Pass | ESPN* | 7plus | Netflix |

DAZN (NFL Game Pass)
If you want complete access to the NFL 2025/2026 season, you only really have one option: NFL Game Pass via DAZN. Foxtel’s new parent company, DAZN, partnered with the NFL back in 2023 to deliver the NFL Game Pass subscription to punters globally.
DAZN offers NFL Game Pass as a standalone subscription, so although you will need to download the DAZN app, you won’t need to pay for a standard DAZN subscription if you just want NFL Game Pass.
NFL Game Pass subscribers can pay weekly or sign up for the whole season on a 12-month contract and pay monthly. There are Pro and Pro Ultimate plans that are both offered as Weekly or Seasonal subscriptions.
NFL Game Pass Pro gives you the American broadcast (including the ads at Super Bowl time), 1080p Full HD video on two devices (at one location), and the ability to download replays on the go.
NFL Game Pass Pro Ultimate offers all that and more with HDR/Dolby 5.1 surround sound for Thursday & Sunday Night Football, select playoffs and Super Bowl. It also offers Multiview, a feature that lets you stream four games at once, and five simultaneous streams across multiple locations.
Here’s how much each plan costs per season:
Both plans can be paid up front for a significant discount. Paid up front, NFL Game Pass Season Pro Ultimate costs $349.99 for the season (a saving of $93.89) while the NFL Game Pass Season Pro costs $319.99 for the season (a saving of $75.89). Alternatively, the weekly payment plan costs more but comes with no contract or strings attached. Weekly Pro Ultimate costs $34.99 for seven days of access, while Weekly Pro costs $31.99 for seven days of access.
The DAZN app is available on iOS and Android devices, as well as select smart TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
ESPN (Kayo and Disney Plus)
DAZN’s NFL Game Pass is only for the most die-hard NFL fanatics. Most regular humans wouldn’t even have time to watch every single NFL game in a week. At the start of a regular season, there are around 16 games per week, often shown at the exact same time.
That’s why ESPN is the more sane option for streaming the NFL in Australia. ESPN is available via Disney Plus, Kayo, Foxtel and Fetch. Of those four services, Disney Plus and Kayo Sports are our recommended options. No matter where you get it, ESPN shows a minimum of six games and NFL RedZone each round, plus six NFL International games and every game from the playoffs, Pro Bowl and, finally, the Super Bowl. NFL RedZone is the league’s simulcast solution to Sunday games. It offers commentary and “whip-around” live coverage of every Sunday afternoon game, from 1:00pm in the US (3:00am AEST Mondays in Australia).
ESPN is included with standard Kayo and Disney Plus subscriptions. Here’s the selection of plans from both providers.
7plus
Seven Network's free-to-air coverage of the 2025 NFL season began with the Kickoff match between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. Seven will continue to broadcast Thursday night games (Friday mornings in Australia) and two Sunday afternoon games per week (Monday mornings in Australia) throughout the regular season, in addition to every playoff round and Super Bowl LX in 2026. That coverage will be broadcast on free-to-air via Seven and 7mate, but Seven's digital catch-up service 7plus Sport will steam all that plus on-demand coverage on commentary from Australia and the US.
7plus is a free ad-supported catch-up service that's available on Google TV devices, select smart TVs, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Fetch, Foxtel iQ, Hubbl, and Android and iOS mobile devices. You can also access the service directly through most web browsers. All you need to do is set up an account with an email address and password and away you go.
Netflix: Christmas (Boxing) Gameday
In 2024, Netflix live-streamed its first-ever NFL event: Christmas Gameday. Two games and an epic Beyoncé performance to rival the Super Bowl Halftime show that featured Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts and Brittany Spencer and more. This year, Netflix is celebrating Christmas Gameday (localised as Boxing Gameday here in Australia) once again with two games: Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings.
Cowboys vs. Commanders will take place at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, kicking off at 5:00am AEST on December 26. Lions vs. Vikings will be played at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, kicking off at 8:30am AEST.
Netflix's Christmas Gameday coverage is included with every Netflix subscription.
