Call the Midwife details the daily lives, both professional and personal, of a group of midwives in the late 1950s. And like Dr Gregory House, Patrick Jane and Sherlock Holmes, he gets results!
Much like these similar characters, Professor T is also harbouring a dark secret from his past. To unravel the mystery, you'll have to watch and see.

Karen Pirie

By now you're aware that BritBox love a good 'whodunnit' mystery, so the genre of Karen Pirie should come as no surprise. However,
Created by and starring Emer Kenny, Karen Pirie is set in the Scottish university town of St Andrews. When a podcaster shines a spotlight on an unsolved murder from the 90s, the cold case is reopened and DS Karen Pirie (Lauren Lyle) is tasked with leading the investigation alongside DC Jason Murray (Chris Jenks). Twenty five years later she must unearth all the evidence and the three students who discovered the grizzly murder.
While there are only six episodes, they are two hours a piece. But that means plenty of details and clues for those wannabe mystery solvers out there who love figuring it out before the protagonist does.

Outrageous

Think of them as the 'real housewives' version of the March Sisters from Little Woman and you're pretty on track. Live vicariously through the absurd behaviour of Nancy (Bessie Carter - Bridgerton), Pamela (Isobel Jesper Jones - The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbird & Snakes), Diana (Joanna Vanderham - Warrior, Crime), Unity (Shannon Watson - Say Nothing, Jessica (Zoe Brough - Casualty) and Deborah (Orla Hill - A Good Girl's Guide to Murder).

The Cleaner

Greg Davis is wickedly good in this dark comedy crime series. Davis plays Paul 'Wicky' Wickstead, a state-certified cleaner for crime scenes. No he's not there to solve murders, he has his own set of problems to sort out; from bringing the wrong keys to a crime scene to bumping into his first girlfriend while on the job.
Familiar casting crew include Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter), David Mitchell (Ludwig), Jo Hartley (Eddy the Eagle), Alex Lawther (Black Mirror), Harriet Walter (Succession), Zoë Wanamaker (also Harry Potter), Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral), Roisin Conaty (GameFace, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown) and Naveed Khan (Death on the Nile).
And with episodes clocking in at a tidy 30 minutes, it's an easy binge so you'll be caught up on the first three seasons in no time.
