Service Description
This Vodafone NBN plan includes a Fixed Line broadband service over the NBN network.
NBN Fixed Line Internet is the next generation broadband technology delivered via fibre optic cables. Fibre optic broadband is capable of delivering superfast broadband speed.
Equipment Requirement
You need a compatible modem in order to use this Plan. You may purchase the Vodafone Super Wi-Fi Modem (‘Modem’) or bring your own compatible modem. For more information on compatible modems, visit Vodafone website. If you purchase the Modem, you will be supplied with a new or remanufactured compatible modem. The total cost of the Modem is $336. There are no Early Exit Fees on this plan. However, if you choose to cancel, 100% of any remaining device instalments will be applied to your next bill. The Modem is $14 per month (‘Undiscounted Price’) or $0 per month (‘Discounted Price’) when you stay connected for 24 months (‘Device Period’). This Discounted Price will appear as a credit on your monthly bill. If you choose to cancel your plan before the end of the Device Period you will need to pay the full Undiscounted Price x months remaining on Device Period. The maximum cost of the Modem is $336 or $0 if you stay connected for 24 months.
Please note that by signing up to this Plan your existing home phone line service will be terminated. When you connect to Vodafone nbn® certain equipment or services at your premises may be impacted and no longer operate. These include medical devices, alarms, EFTPOS machines, lift emergency phones and some email or fax services. Please contact the equipment manufacturer or service provider if you are unsure. Vodafone does not offer Priority Assistance.
If you’re using the Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub™ 1.0 and change your plan to nbn® Home Superfast or nbn® Home Ultrafast you will need to connect via the device’s 5Ghz Wi-Fi connection. The Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub™ 1.0 only supports up to 100Mbps speeds via ethernet.
Network Guarantee
All customers will be offered Vodafone’s 30 Day Network Satisfaction Guarantee where they can ‘love or leave’ Vodafone nbn® within the first 30 days of their contract after service activation if they are not satisfied. Vodafone will refund any monthly access fees (excluding nbn specific charges) paid by the customer as long as the Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub™ is returned to a Vodafone store within 10 days of letting them know.
MyVodafone app
Manage your account and receive your bill free via email and can access it at any time via My Vodafone. This app will also feature a tool to provide customers with information about their installation including appointment details and activation progress, as well as Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub™ delivery.
Service Availability
The NBN Service is not available in all areas or to all premises. Availability is subject to a service qualification check which Vodafone will perform when you request to sign-up. The technology used to deliver the NBN Service will depend on the connection between your premises and the NBN Network which includes: (1) Fibre to the Premises (‘FTTP’); (2) Fibre to the Node (‘FTTN’); (3) Fibre to the Building (‘FTTB’); (4) Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (‘HFC’). Your technology type will be explained when you sign-up.
Speed - Internet speeds on this plan are variable and you will typically experience slower speeds than the maximum connection speed available, particularly during peak times (7pm-11pm). When you sign up to Vodafone nbn®, you acknowledge you may lose your landline and existing devices (e.g. medical alarms). You also consent or have the owner’s consent for installation by nbn co, and somebody 18+ must be present.
