Telstra is hard at work building its 5G network, with it now covering 38 towns and cities. This includes parts of Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Launceston, Toowoomba, the Gold Coast, and more.
In addition, Telstra's first consumer ready 5G devices - the HTC 5G Hub, the Galaxy S20 family, the Galaxy S10 5G, the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, the Galaxy A90 5G, the OPPO Reno 5G, and the LG V50 ThinQ are available now.
Important note to remember
Telstra's 5G coverage maps below show 5G coverage as purple and 4G coverage as green.
These maps shows approximate 5G coverage and do not include indoor coverage. Speed and performance will depend on a range of factors including radio conditions at your location.
This set of maps is accurate as of February 13 but Telstra says it is expanding coverage every day.
It is worth noting that there is some flux in 5G coverage. For example, South Coogee had 5G coverage in July, but does not currently. Telstra says this is part of network tuning and optimisation. In addition, it areas that once had 5G but no longer do are expected to be back online sooner rather than later.
