Telstra Offering Pre-Paid 4G LTE

From today Telstra is offering pre-paid 4G LTE deals on both its new Samsung Galaxy 8.9 4G tablet and on 4G LTE Telstra USB modems. We’ve already touched on the Tablet side of things in our last post, so head on over to that if you want to check it out. For those who’re interested in a pre-paid 4G USB modem stick around.

For an up-front price of $129 customers can grab Telstra’s new pre-paid 4G LTE USB modem. That price does not bind you to a contract but does come with 3GB of data included for use within 30 days of purchase.

4G LTE currently boasts the fastest maximum speeds in Australian wireless broadband. With a maximum of 40Mbps in perfect situations, Telstra’s 4G LTE network generally ranges from 2Mbps to 20Mbps in field use. Of course speeds will differ depending on area and currently the 4G network is only available in selected metro areas.

But if you’ve been waiting for a pre-paid option to rear its head with this new service then the wait is over. Head on in to your local Telstra store and ask to see out one of these modems, or check it out online if you’d prefer the more digital approach.
