The globally popular Samsung Galaxy S II has now been released with a 4G LTE capable model in Australia on Telstra’s new 4G network. As Telstra’s second 4G LTE phone, the Galaxy S II 4G promises to bring its already strong reputation to bolster Aussie LTE adoption.
There’s more than just network support separating the original GS2 and the 4G model. The Galaxy S II 4G boasts a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, where the original was just 1.2GHz. The screen has also seen an upsize from 4.3 to 4.5 inches, although we’ve unfortunately not seen an increase in resolution to go along with it.
Other features include an 8MP camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a MicroSD slot for expandable memory up to 32GB and an 1850mAh battery.
Telstra is offering this new and impressive device on a variety of plans, including the $59 plan at $5 extra per month for 24 months.
