Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Motorola Xoom tablets are scheduled to receive an update to Android Honeycomb 3.2 sometime soon.
The Galaxy Tab’s proliferation perhaps doesn’t match the original hype just before its release, a fact that may be attributed to the legal war between Samsung and Apple that is still raging on today. However, there are still more than a few Galaxy Tab owners in Australia who will be very pleased to hear that Samsung is finally releasing a proper Android 3.2 update for their tablet.
This is the second time Samsung has made this announcement. The first was around 2 weeks ago when a faulty 3.2 update was released by the manufacturing giant that created problems with WiFi connectivity. That issue has apparently been resolved and the new patch is on its way. If you were unlucky enough to grab this original update you can obtain a manual fix from it on XDA dev’s site.
The Motorola Xoom is also set to receive the 3.2 update and will be pushed out in stages. The number of improvements aren’t staggering, but users should see small increases in speed and efficiency, as well as a few bug fixes.
If you own either of these devices we suggest you keep your eye out for the update and hit that “Accept” button if your devices pops up with the option.
