More About iiNet

iiNet is currently one of Australia’s largest internet service providers (ISP), receiving “Carrier of the Year” at the 2008 ATUG awards. So far as customer service goes, iiNet has the best online reputation of the major ISP’s at the moment, with their 24/7 technical support line and specialist Mac support line. iiNet broadband is fast and reliable, offering some great broadband deals across its range.

iiNet Freezone

iiNet offer their customers a range of digital content to enjoy through the iiNet Freezone, including movies, music, sports, and gaming. The great advantage is that Freezone usage does not count towards your monthly download quota. Plus if you've already hit your quota and your connection has been shaped, you can still access iiNet Freezone at full speed.

Customer Service

iiNet currently has a great customer service reputation. This is mostly due to the their great 24/7 technical support line located in Australia, NZ and South Africa depending on the time of your call, so you won’t be breaking any language barriers. They even have a dedicated line just for Mac users.

As with most call centres, waits can occasionally be frustrating but by internet user reports most people receive assistance quickly and find their problems resolved expertly when compared to some other ISP’s. You also have the option of leaving your number for them to call you back, removing a lot of the aggravation normally generated when dealing with tech support.

In 2004 iiNet even built their own network (the iiNetwork), allowing them to offer customers iiNet internet with speeds running as fast as their lines can handle.

Summary

iiNet remain one of the most popular ISPs in Australia. Whilst they may not offer the cheapest broadband, they have a very good reputation for being fast and reliable. They have a great customer service tool at their disposal with their 24/7 support line and tend to resolve issues quickly. Repeat customers are treated to great bundle deals with some pretty impressive perks such as Australia’s fastest Voice over IP (VoIP) service. If you don’t think that counted uploads will affect you significantly then you might consider iiNet broadband when choosing your next plan.
